Description:

The Ames-Florida-Stork House was built in 1861 by George Ames, one of the original settlers to the Rockford area. Used as a residence until 1986, the home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and is currently the home of the Rockford Area Historical Society. The RAHS organizes family events on the second Saturday of each month and has office hours during the week for tours, research, and volunteer opportunities.
